Position Purpose

The Technology Engineering Manager will lead the Microsoft Office 365 Collaboration team. This role is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize the use of Office 365 tools and drive collaboration globally across the organization. This individual must be a technologist & analytics engineer at heart and be comfortable enabling new technology and being hands-on with the execution of the strategy. In addition, they must exhibit a deep understanding of industry technology trends and the ability to stay current with the competitive landscape, modern technology stacks, and agile delivery models with a demonstrated focus on customer experience.

This individual should be able to provide technical expertise in the O365 ecosystem, while acting as a strong leader who promotes a collaborative work environment within the organization. This leader will develop team members to enhance their technical skills and contribute to their career growth, while acting as a strong problem-solver.

Position Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize the use of Office 365 tools and drive collaboration across the global organization.
  • Collaborate with vendors and external partners to stay updated on industry trends and best practices in Office 365
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Office 365 tools.
  • Stay apprised of Office 365 features and functionality and make recommendations for integration into the global organization.
  • Implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures to protect against cybersecurity threats.
  • Lead and manage a team of IT professionals to ensure successful implementation and adoption of Office 365 collaboration initiatives.
  • Optimize the use of Microsoft Power Platform, Power Automate, SharePoint and align with best practice implementation standards.
  • Partner with subsidiary business units to address global issues within the O365 domain.
  • Create and manage the annual IT budget for Microsoft Office 365 products and tools.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and team-building skills and develop and mentor team members; includes setting performance goals, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a positive and collaborative high-performing team environment.
  • Understand business goals and drivers and translate those into appropriate collaborative tools and technologies.
  • Effectively communicate IT initiatives, issues, and progress to senior management and other stakeholders
  • Special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
Location
  • This position can be based out of: Atlanta GA headquarters, Duluth GA, or Dallas TX
  • We offer a Flexible Work Policy that permits eligible employees to work a hybrid remote schedule.

Desired Qualifications & Experiences:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or business preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 8+ years' prior Microsoft O365 experience; 3 years' experience in a leadership role
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft technologies; Exchange, Power Automate, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive
  • Deep understanding of SharePoint governance, security, and compliance
  • Advanced Expertise in building low-code/no-code apps with Power Apps
  • Fundamental understanding of tools such as: BitTitan, ShareGate, SendGrid, CodeTwo
  • Experience leading user migration across O365 Tenants
  • Functional knowledge of Azure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
  • Willingness to work flexible schedule, as necessary
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Must be meticulous, security conscious, and proficient in troubleshooting
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced and nimble operating environment
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively in a distributed-team environmen
  • Experience managing relationships with IT vendors and service provider
  • Strong leadership management skills are crucial for this role, including the ability to motivate and mentor team members
  • Willingness to learn about new technologies and trends, given the IT landscape is constantly evolving
  • Understanding of Microsoft licensing a bonus
